We strongly encourage members to raise concerns at an early stage and, where appropriate, seek resolution through respectful face to face discussion.

In our experience, many issues can be resolved quickly and amicably through open communication between members. This approach helps maintain positive relationships and supports the inclusive and collaborative culture of our club.

 

Formal Complaints Procedure

Where informal resolution is not appropriate, or where a matter remains unresolved, a formal complaint may be submitted to the club secretary

All formal complaints will be:

  • Treated seriously and handled confidentially

  • Managed in a fair, consistent, and timely manner

  • Processed in accordance with the Club Constitution and governance procedures

  • Dealt with in line with the official complaints and disciplinary procedures of Cycling Ireland

 

The Club formally adopts the official complaints and disciplinary procedures of Cycling Ireland for the handling of official complaints.

Upon notification that you wish to make a formal complaint, you will be issued with the appropriate complaint form in due course. This form must be completed and returned before the matter can proceed under the adopted procedures.

 

Safeguarding Concerns

Any issue you believe to be of a safeguarding nature must be reported immediately to the Club Safeguarding Officers .

Please clearly outline the nature of your safeguarding concern when submitting a safeguarding report so that it can be appropriately assessed and addressed.

All safeguarding matters will be treated with the utmost seriousness, sensitivity, and confidentiality and will be processed strictly in accordance with Club safeguarding policies and the safeguarding framework of Cycling Ireland.

Where necessary, the Club Safeguarding Officer’s may seek advice or guidance from appropriate external bodies, including NSPCC, in order to assess whether a safeguarding concern exists and to ensure that any matter is handled in line with best practice and statutory guidance.

The welfare and safety of our members is our highest priority.
